so the olympic trials were a blast--the best present my mom&dad could have gotten me. philly was TAKEN OVER by gymnastics. a bunch of little girls with big dreams running around the city. these trials would have been the ones i would have been at, had i been good enough..so it was very emotional and very important that i was there to experience it in some way. i was made a volunteer so i got to see a lot of things other people didn't. everyone knows i can't go to an event without being backstage, ahah. we stayed at the same hotel that all the gymnasts who were competing stayed at. i stalked the guys MAJORLY. hung with justin spring on the mezanine floor and ate at a diner with kevin tan and jonathan horton. they're all apart of the 2008 olympic team in beijing. waaa, i needa snag me a gymnast for relz. just riding in an elevator with marta karolyi made my entire life. the 4 day event went so fast. before each competition there was a 'visa fan fest' with fun things for everyone to do. i got to be carly pattersons bodyguard and chill with her band ahahaah. i died. i got to chill with the 2003 world teamand 200 olympic team and most importantly BLAINE WILSON. i've wanted his shit since i was 6.
the most special part of it all was meeting shannon miller and MARY LOU RETTON. she is just..a gymnastics goddess and a basically lost my marbles when i met her. sitting front row was also the best shit ever, concidering i snuck my ass up there. hellz, my mom doesnt have $500 for seats..
the actual down was kind of cute too. a lot of gays, of coarse ..and outside cafe's and gelato shops. yumz. all in all a great vaca. cept i pulled a muslce doing backtucks on the hotel beds, but whatevez.
on another note i'm so exstatic that my surgery is over. i cannot even tell you. it was no where near as bad as i though it'd be, obviously. because i'm a pussy. my doctor babied me and so did all the nurses. giving me kisses and holding my hand beforehand, haha. and they also knew to distract me with a hot doctor while restraining me and putting a needle in my arm. AWESOME. i was talking a mile a minute when i got put to sleep and didnt even get to do the count down thing.
i remember waking up for 2 seconds. being in the car with my mom for two seconds. and then somehow 830 am turned into 8pm. i woke up just in time for so you think you can dance. the pain has been limited, my perkasets do the trick. and i realized, i guess i'm good with pain in general, being a gymnast and all. the suckiest part of this whole thing is not being able to eat solid foods, sleep on my stomach, and the way my chest feels. its tight and hurts because of the tube they put down into my lungs. and it freaks me out.
when i'm better summer can officially begin for me ! yay!
